Mission Statement

The free movement of workers is enshrined in European law as a fundamental right to ensure the existence of a European labour market, benefitting the individuals by increasing the scope of their vocational development and helping to match labour demands to skills.

It is in the economic interest of union to generate economic growth and create jobs and part of this is attracting more people into employment, increasing the mobility and flexibility of the labour market and making workers more knowledgeable and adaptable.

The UK agriculture sector is highly developed and part of a food chain that is one of the most efficient in the world. Personnel and temporary labour in particular matter a lot to this sector and it is our belief as many others that only the use of good employment practices will ensure a constant supply of people much needed to secure a viable economic model currently and in the future.
